City to Surf, drives the hospital workers nuts

今日はもう1句、City to Surfの裏ネタを。これだけ大きなイベントなので、かなり広い地域が交通規制で通行止めになります。その中には私の勤務先を含む4つの総合病院があり、スタッフはなんとか迂回ルートを探して病院にたどり着かねばなりません。時には何十キロもの遠回りになります。休みでよかった。

Another aspect of City to Surf. Because this is a huge event, there are a lot of road closures and traffic chaos in the area. Unfortunately, there are 4 major hospitals (including mine) affected by it and the staff need to reach there by all means. For some people it requires tens of kilometres of detour. Thank God I'm off today..
