"Just another day", you know I don't, really mean it

先日、誕生日でした。この年になると「別に普通の日よ」って感じですが、みんなにおめでとう、と言われたりすると嬉しいものです。とくにうちのパートナーはいろいろ騒ぎ立てるのが好きな性分なので、何もいらないから、と言っていたにもかかわらず、お花とチョコレートを買ってきて、夕食も作ってくれました。やっぱり誰かに祝ってもらえるっていいですね。

It was my birthday a while ago. I am not the person who jumps up and down for that, but still feel so happy when people say "Happy Birthday to you". My partner is such a kind who makes a big fuss about it. Even I told him I didn't need anything special, he organised a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolate, then cooked the dinner for me. How nice of him!
