Black Lives Matter, do the protesters care, ALL other lives?

今日もオチのない、川柳とは似つかない句になってしまいました。
本日パースでは2回目のＢＬＭに乗じたアボリジニＬＭのデモが計画されてます。州知事が何度も警告し、延期を促したにもかかわらず。香港と違ってデモをする自由は保障されていますが、感染を広める恐れがある以上、自粛すべきでは。今まで多額の税金を注ぎ込んでロックダウンまでしてきたのはコロナに感染したら命が危ないハイリスクの人々を守るためで、高齢者に並んでハイリスクとされているのは他ならぬアボリジニの人々ではありませんか。さらに今週は「今までアボリジニにしてきた差別を反省しよう」週間で、アメリカのまねをしてデモをせずとも様々なプログラムでアピールする機会があるのに。事実、メルボルンではデモ参加者からコロナ陽性の人が出たとのこと。マスクをしていてもウィルスのついた手でそのへんを触れば他人に感染するのよ。差別は当事者でないとわからないというけど、今回のデモは理解しがたいし、正直、理解したいとも思えません。

The second rally for protesting BLM or awareness of similar Aboriginal deaths will go ahead today in Perth, ignoring the repeated plea from the WA Premier to delay it until the pandemic is over. I know it is totally legal to organise protests in Australia, but I don't believe this is right thing to do since there is a risk, even the slightest, to lose someone's lives. Moreover, the Aboriginals themselves are the most COVID vulnerable as much as the senior citizens. Also, it's coincidentally within the Aboriginal Reconciliation Week now, so there are plenty of opportunities to demonstrate by other media and means rather than copying Americans. As a matter of fact, there was one person reported to be COVID positive from last week's rally in Melbourne. The virus could transmit through anywhere that person might have touched then would have been scattered, even he wore a face mask and tried to keep social distance during the rally. I understand that I wouldn't understand how the discriminated party feel, but for this matter, I don't even wanto to try.
