Go virtual, as far as your, imagination reaches!

西オーストラリア州は明日からロックダウン解除のフェーズ３に入ります。といってもまだ州境はしばらく閉鎖したままで、日本からどころか他州からも出入りできません。そこで、旅行がキャンセルになってしまった日本の友達に西オーストラリアのバーチャルホリデーを楽しんでもらう企画を先月からやっています。旅程を立て、それに沿って我々が実際に行った時に撮った写真やネットで拝借した写真とビデオをパワーポイントで編集し、ZOOMで臨場感たっぷりに(?)プレゼン。バーチャルなのでもちろん時間にも予算にも制限なし。天気も体力も食欲も上々で不可能なことはひとつもなし。想像はどんどん膨らみ、作っている私たちの方が何倍も楽しんでいます。

Western Australia enters phase 3 of lockdown relaxation from tomorrow, however, the state boarders are still shut against the holiday makers from outside. So we created "Virtual Holidays" in WA to entertain my friends in Japan who had to cancel their real holidays. That is, a Zoom PowerPoint presentation with our collection of holiday photos plus some good photos and videos from the Internet. Of course, there is no limit in time or budget, everybody will have endless energy and appetite, and nothing will go wrong. Hence, only your imagination sets the limit! Perhaps we enjoyed much more than they would.
