Pandemic time, people turn to be, vegie growers

５月に入ってだいぶ寒くなってきたところで例年ならソラマメの種を蒔く時期なのですが…噂には聞いていましたが、ほんとにソラマメどころか冬蒔きの野菜の種は全く手に入りません。自己隔離のため多くの人が家庭菜園に手を出したそうで。いつものことながら私は出遅れてしまいました。

It's mid May, time for sowing broad bean seeds, but I cannot find any at all in nurseries. Actually, I've been hearing rumours that more and more people become keen to grow their own vegetables so all vegie seeds are running out of stock. I should have acted quickly when I heard it, but as usual, I was too lazy and lost the competition again.
