Summer has gone, shivering Melbourne to, stormy Perth

昨日パースに戻ってきました。一昨日のメルボルンは2月なのに雨で震え上がるほど寒かったのでパースの暑い夏を期待していたのですが、あいにく嵐で夜は見事な稲妻スペクタクル。メルボルンの2週間は楽しかったけど、天気は残念だったので、今年は夏を満喫というわけには行きませんでした。あと1日で秋です(といってもパースではまだ暑い日が続くと期待しますが...)。

We have returned in Perth yesterday afternoon. After Wednesday's shivering cold in Melbourne, I really wanted scorching Perth when arriving home, but unfortunately, it was stormy and even throwing a spectacular lightning-thunder show in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our family time in Melbourne the last fortnight, but in terms of the weather, I have to say we've lost the best part of the Perth summer this year. Summer will be officially over in one day. (Although I expect a little longer aftertaste...)
