Wet Melbourne, 20 degrees of, temperature fall

昨日の午後にメルボルンに着きました。これから2週間、義両親のところに滞在します。メルボルンには雨が多いという印象を持っていて、例にもれず昨日も大雨でした。灼熱40度のパースから打って変わって今日のメルボルンは20度そこそこの肌寒い天気です。同じオーストラリアでも西と東ではこれほど違うのですね。またメルボルン自体がジェットコースター並みに気温が上下します。でも私は今さら驚きません。

We arrived in my partner's parents' place in Melbourne yesterday and will be staying here for next fortnight. I always have impression of wet and rainy Melbourne, and sure enough, it was pouring. We experienced a roller coaster fall from 40 degrees scorching Perth to just over 20 degrees here - but it's no surprise for me any more. Ausralia is such a big continent.
