Morning gym, may sacrifice their morning call

Theirは病院からのオンコールのことです。私はカジュアルなので当日朝に欠員が出れば呼び出しコールを受けます。だいたい5時過ぎ、遅くとも5時半にはかかってくるのですが、ぎりぎりの病欠があったりしてたまに6時半頃になってかかってきたりするのが厄介なのです。朝起きたら即ジムに行きたい、5時半でセーフならその後も90%セーフなのに6時半まで待って時間を無駄にしたくない(私は無駄が大キライ)、悩ましいですが、たまに見切り発車してしまいます。でもそういう時に限ってかかってくるんだよなあ。

I mean the hospital (my work) by "their". As I am a casual worker, I sometimes receive a call from them to fill up numbers. Most of time it happens early at around 5 to 5:30am, but the trouble is the late calls such as 6:30am. I make it a rule to go to gym first thing in the morning, but a vary-rare-but-not-zero possibility of a late call passes in my mind - I sometimes ignore it and just go - only to find I missed a call later.
