Jacaranda, good to look but hard to keep

ジャカランダはオーストラリアの初夏を彩る青紫の花木です。桜の様に並木になっていることが多く、満開の頃はため息が出るほど美しいです。桜より好きかもしれない。ところが、満開を過ぎて散り始めると(ちょうど今時分)、もう辺り一面にエンドレスに落ち花が積もり、それはそれできれいなんだけども、掃除するほうにしちゃたまったもんじゃないです。よそのうちの、誰かが掃除するジャカランダを見ているだけが一番。

I love "looking" at the rows of beautiful fully bloomed Jacaranda trees in Australian early summer. I might like it even more than Japanese cherry blossoms. However, once the flower season is over and it starts falling, it makes terrible mess around my house - my sweeping will never get to the end. Perhaps just looking at somebody's trees is the best way to enjoy it as I can push all trouble to them.
