Comfort food, another name for, junky food

寒くなってきました。しかも今日は雨もじとじと降って冬っぽさ満開です。こんな日にはオーストラリアでいう「カンフォートフード」。心が欲する食べ物とか元気になる食べ物とかいう感じの意味ですが、どちらかというと高蛋白低脂肪で野菜たっぷりの百点満点な食事より、自分を甘やかすようなチーズがとろけてバターやクリームたっぷりの罪深い食べ物を指すことが多いようです。マカロニチーズとか、ミートパイとか、ソーセージにマッシュポテトとか。たまにはいいよね。

Winter is approaching, raining all day, it's time for Comfort Food - macaroni cheese, meat pies and bangers and mash. It's not the dietitian-accredited-super-healthy food but rather sinful and junky end with loads of fat, butter and cream...but if it gives you comfort, maybe forgivable sometimes.
