"A Happy New Year!", but they're not so, happy to be there

本日も病院勤務。スタッフ同士では「おめでとう」と言い合うものの、基本的に大晦日から元旦にかけて病院にいて嬉しい人はあまりいないので、患者さんにもしれーっと「おはようございます」と普通どおりに挨拶します。唯一、今日退院予定の人は元気よくHappy New Year to YOU!! と返してくれますが。

Worked at the hospital this morning. The staff naturally exchange the New Year greetings, but because the patients are obviously not too happy to be in the hospital, moreover in this festive season, we greet them as normal "Good Morning". Only those who are going home today returns "Happy New Year to you!" with a smile.
